Constance Goodwine-Lewis

For more than 60 years, Broad River Elementary School has stood as a neighborhood beacon, providing a quality education to the children in our community. Over the years, our enrollment levels have fluctuated, and our school zone has changed, but one thing has been constant: we strive for excellence in every facet of our school culture. From the academic achievement of our students, to the professional development of our faculty, we believe in lifelong learning, growth, and improvement. As a result, BRES has been recognized as a US Healthier School, Palmetto Achievement Awards for overall achievement and closing the achievement gap, as well as, making AYP multiple years. I am also proud to share that we are a Dual-Language school, offering Mandarin Chinese and Spanish programs from kindergarten through fourth grade.

Our student population for the 2013-14 school year is just over 550 students. We have over 40 teaching staff, two administrators, a guidance counselor, social worker, and a team of support staff working every day to ensure our students have a safe, academically stimulating learning environment.

I encourage you to explore our web page, familiarize yourself with school policies and staff, and to get involved as a volunteer. Broad River Elementary belongs to the Broad River neighborhoods. It is our responsibility to work together as a team to continue the illustrious legacy of this school, and to enrich the surrounding community through our efforts.
